Attempting a 'healthy' BBQ tonight!
Discussion
It would be too tempting for me to eat the usual beef burger, 3 pork sausages and probably something else quite fatty every time the sun comes out!
As it's only Tuesday, but it's warm, I'm attempting to be more healthy.
I've just made some Turkey burgers, following this recipe: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/turkey-coriand...
I hate Guac though so it might just go with some lettuce and onion. They're sitting in the fridge hopefully going to firm up a bit!
Also got these marinating in the fridge: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chicken-tikka-...
And to try and get some sort of sausage fix, I've bought these: https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/Produc...
Finally, I'll do the usual corn on the cob, but I suppose I'll have to use less butter than I usually would!
So, am I in for a massively disappointing BBQ or might I be pleasantly surprised that a vaguely healthy meat feast can still be good?

Quarter some bell peppers and roast them on the grill too.
A baked potato wrap it in tin foil and throw it directly on top of the glowing red coals for about an hour.
Doesn't work quite so well with gas? haha A baked potato wrap it in tin foil and throw it directly on top of the glowing red coals for about an hour.

Is it about health or weight loss?
Come on, someone had to ask.
I'd just enjoy a normal bbq. Not that I'm averse to the occasional chicken fillet in a bun.
Luckily I'm not a big lad (yet) so I guess it's health. And the fact I would become a big lad if I ate the fatty stuff as much as I'd like! Come on, someone had to ask.

Used my remaining turkey burger mix again tonight.
I’m in danger of preferring them to my usual beef burgers. Oh dear.

I refer to the episode where they have a 'cook off', gourmet Turkey burger vs a very basic beef burger. The health obsessed Turkey burger maker takes one bite of the Beef burger and says "oh, this is better"
"Turkey never beats cow, Chris"
It's funny. But not if you haven't seen it.

Any chance you're a parks and rec (TV show) fan?

The issue IMO is that sausages and burgers need a bit of fat, particularly chicken and turkey which can be dry and end up like sawdust.
I was surprised by how juicy my turkey burgers were even with the lowest fat mince option
