Does anybody have one and /or use the Lavazza subscription service.

I use a bean to cup machine at home and drink a lot of coffee.

I have a camper van that I had planned to use a Haro v60 filter in, but was recently thinking that messing around with ground coffee might be a pain and maybe I should get a small capsule machine.

Nespresso was front runner but with the 2 different types I struggled to find a machine for the old capsule type, so restricted to the new ones which seem quite expensive.

I stumbled across the Lavazza subscription offering which seems good value, however there have been some poor reviews re the eco caps bursting and allowing grounds into the drink. Don't really want that sort of mess in the camper.

Interested if anybody has experience of the machines/capsules/subscription service.

Thanks both, that is really good feedback.

The subscription offer with a machine for a £1 is very attractive.

With your positive feedback think I will give it a go.

Struggling to see how a standalone espresso machine that requires electricity, specific capsules and decent bunker space is less troublesome than a V60 or moka pot and a tupperware dish full of ground coffee? If I can manage the latter in a one-man tent i'm sure its do-able in a campervan? Better coffee, better for your wallet and better for the planet.
Multiple leisure batteries, inverter and solar panels provide electricity if not on hookup.

Space not a major issue.

I’m pretty clumsy so coffee grounds everywhere (and the need to carry a vacuum) compared to a sealed capsule, this is a major attraction for me. If i were living in a tent i might not worry about grounds everywhere.

I prefer espresso to drip coffee.
