Tell me about some of the cheeses that you like.

I'm talking about stuff that's relatively widely available, not something that you can only get in a shop at the top of a Scottish mountain at £300 per 100g!

To kick off let me recommend Marks & Spencer's Cornish Cruncher:

It's particularly fantastic with the added onion and balsamic vinegar. £2.99 for 200g iirc.

lick Red Leicester.
Great for melting - on toast, crumpets etc. With a bit of brown sauce.

I love;

Lincolnshire Poacher
I received a little hamper at Christmas from Lincoln Market, containing 'regular' poacher, 'vintage' poacher and a smoked poacher - with some oatmeal crackers and chutney.

Bloody marvellous.

My brother got it for me & the wife for Christmas - a love of cheese is in the family!

It's all gone now of course...

That's enough of all this poncey expensive French stuff!

biggrin

Last night I tried a new cheese from my humble local Co-op - Fountain's Gold cheddar with cracked black pepper.

Highly recommended.
