As a compliment to the main dinner thread I thought I would create this for pictures of peoples breakfasts. No doubt humongous Full English will be highly popular, in fact I am going to do one this Sunday as my first effort.

I can see this turning into a quantity v quality battle. I'm debating which to go for this weekend, probably quantity biggrin

It's an interesting point about what goes into a full English. Eggs, sausage and bacon are a given, but after that do you have to have beans or a tomato? Even more suspect is any sort of potato ???? I should have done a university study in it, at least I would have been a well fed student then.

I like that, though needs more brown "hair" for the face. I'm hungry now.

Is it only me who still likes rind on bacon? I guess it comes from me being old and my mum always buying slices actually sliced at the butched from the tied up round joint on the bacon slicer.

My version of a coronary on a plate. Nothing like a belly full of grease to set you up for the rigours of the day.
What's that thing betwixt bacon and tomato?

Went for quality this time, traditional truck stop or cafe next week

duck eggs, beef sausages, 97% pork sausages, chestnut mushrooms, black pudding and dry cured bacon. Duck eggs both look and taste fantastic, so much more so than hens eggs. Yummy.

Thank. I have to say that not only do duck eggs taste so much better than hens, they look more "sunny" as well ! Even a simple boiled duck egg in an egg cup is a delight.

I used lard for frying, it always strikes me as odd when people use olive oil when a pig based dish can be cooked in a pig based oil to make it more "porky". I blame Jamie Oliver who uses olive oil for nearly everything...
