Great debut albums
Discussion
Royal Blood and Kill em all have both already been mentioned.
I think a debut album, when listened back to after subsequent releases, is often a good reminder of the band or artist's roots and the real expression of what their music is about. Of all the Metallica albums, and their subtle shifts in style, it is still my favorite.
I do hope Royal Blood can live up to their first album in years to come.

It is a great album, much better than most of what followed in Britpop. The Drowners is probably the best of a bunch of very strong tracks, but Metal Mickey, So Young and Animal Nitrate are all superb.
To be honest I'm not familiar with the album Zod but I always kept an eye out who was recording in Master Rock after we installed that console, spent months in there in the late 80s, halcyon days.Bernard Butler blamed the delay in getting the console on the downfall of Master Rock (loss of studio time) unfortunately what Bernard Butler didn't take into account was this was build number 1 so there was always going to get problems before they were ironed out, it was a prototype, Stuart Holman would of realised this when he rushed to be the first in London with one of these consoles.
Scroll down halfway to Master Rock Studios.

Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden
What was 'great' about it? Virtually all their subsequent albums were better.Gassing Station | Music | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
