Original Vinyl prices seem to have taken off, I've just been offered a ridiculous amount of money for a First Press Led Zeppelin album,

Has anyone sent vinyl through the post in a cardboard LP sleeve or know which are the best ones to purchase,

Thanks

Thanks for the tips, always hate sending anything fragile or expensive in the post having worked for the post office over a Christmas period when a student many moons ago. It became a challenge for some to break any item marked fragile.

I had a Hendrix first press that jumped, my mate who is a Vinyl nut said he would have a look, he had it a few days then gave it me back and what a difference, he said it was just crap and gave it a good clean and it now sound fantastic with no jumping.

Well worth keeping them clean and dust free as it makes such a difference.

He also played a analog studio recorded vinyl back to back with a downloaded digital version, the difference in sound is amazing, the vinyl sounds so much better and you hear so much more that is missing on the digital downloaded version.

Cd don't sound that bad its the downloaded stuff, I think they must compress it because it sounds rubbish compared to a hard copy,

Still you can't beat Vinyl that was recorded on analog equipment, he played me some Lenny Kravitz that was all recorded on 70s analog equipment, it sounded epic on vinyl.
