Was listening to Avicii, Addicted to You, realised how great this lyric was,

"Wasn't looking where I was going, fell into your eyes", what a clever and charming lyric, what else is there, doesn't need to be romantic, can be anything, Kirsty MaColl did a fantastic one,

"When the phone didn't ring, .I knew it wasn't you", almost Quantum Physics there.

So come on, what else stands out as clever, charming, funny or just plain awesome ?

Will Smith don't have to cuss in his raps to sell records
Well I do
So **** him and **** you too

Always raises a smile from me

Genesis managed to fit:-

Heraclea Mantigazziani

into a tune (Return of The Giant Hogweed)

ETA: Charming lyrics from a tune that I endlessly enjoy playing on the guitar:

Kiss me out of the bearded barley,
Lightly , beside the green, green grass
Swing, swing, swing the spinning step
You'll wear those shoes and I will wear that dress

Oh, Kiss me beneath the milky twilight
Lead me out of the moonlit floor
Lift you open hand
Strike up the band, and make the fireflies dance
Silvermoon's sparkling,
So kiss me

American singer/songwriter Peter Case's song " Breaking the Chain" is cleverly written to be a "breakup" song but the same lyrics tell the tale of his kicking the habit.
It contains the line...

Struck a match in the dark to look in your eyes,
Where I used to find love there's a whole pack of lies.

I quite like Bowie's Scary Monsters

"I love the little girl and I'll love her 'til the day she dies".

You're so vain, I bet you think this song is about you.

'So I broke into the Palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said "I know you and you cannot sing"
I said that's nothing you should hear me play piana'

Dr. Hook:

When you're in love with a beautiful woman, it's hard

If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me (think it was the Bellamy Brothers originally)

Rush -

One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity

- that and the "echoes of salesmen" make it interesting.

Also, much of Squeeze's output in the 1980's is a cut above imho.

Agreed - although my fave Rush line comes from Freewill - "If you choose not to decide, you'll still have made a choice"

Also Royal Blood came up with the following:-

Track: Little Monster

I've got love on my fingers
Lust on my tongue
You say you got nothing,
So come out and get some
