Thought I'd start a topic for country music lovers.

I have been into it for a fair while now, 15 years probably. I like a massive range from George Strait to Cadillac three and most in between.

So what do you like, who have you seen, who are you planning on seeing?

No mention of George Straight?

Glad there is some interest in it!

Don't know much about country but do enjoy Zac Brown Band. Any similar suggestions?
Midland, the song ' drinking problem ' is great!

I’m a big country fan, I’m fortunate enough to be over in Nashville until the new year so I’m living around it currently!

A few artists I haven’t seen mentioned:

Chris Stapleton (obviously)
Tyler Childers
Brent Cobb
Lillie Mae
Love Chris Stapleton, Eric Church's latest album is also pretty good!

Have you managed to see anyone perform out there? Its my dream holiday to visit Nashville and see either Alan Jackson or Tim Mcgraw, at the Opre!

I spent a few days in Nashville, didn't see any big names but the beauty of being able to walk into any bar at any time and see decent live music was just brilliant.
I bet! One day I will get out there!

I've started trying Kris Country as one of my digital radio stations in the car, I find some of the modern country seems samey and whiney, is that trying to be "crossover"? Other stuff seems simpler and brings a smile - "I've got friends in low places", "Redneck yacht club", etc.
Yep couldn't agree more, dislike most of the cross over stuff!

Love the story telling, think Kenney Chesney is a pretty good story teller in his songs!

Did anyone attend Country to Country this year?

Sunday was my first time, loved Ashley McBride, a really good stage presence and personality, she comes across as very funny. Lyle Lovett was good, a bit to sombre for the event (in my eyes) but his band are super tight! Chris Stapleton, as expected, was superb!
Gave it a miss for the first time this year! Only interested in Stapelton and not willing to pay £100+ when I can see decent country for £60 and lower in better venues.

Glad you had a good time! There is always a good crowd and fun atmosphere there!

My thread has arrived!!!!

Both posts
I will give the station a listen, I used to listen to KUPL Oregon based I think!

I have seen little big town at the Albert hall, a very good live band and a memorable evening.

Tim Mcgraw is up there for me, I like almost all of his stuff up until the last album and few singles!

Recently been listening to a bit of Joe Diffie, George Strait, Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson (I will see him live one day)

Also booked up to see Kipp Moore in September, not listened to him a great deal tbh so better get on that!
