Tickets go on sale next weekend for Glastonbury 2020, who's in?

We've tried every year since 2011; first attempt and we got them and ever since, no luck until securing tickets for this year.

We are in Poland next weekend so hoping an IP address from mainland Europe helps us, we've also our daughter, her other half (if they get their arses into gear and register tonight) and a couple who went last year with us, trying too.

We had a very large group of nearly a hundred, obviously combined of groups of 6 trying to buy tickets for each other, with zero success. I'm calling conspiracy, someone with some IT trickery to ensure they got through to the website first. I know these loopholes get closed but there's no doubt you can still give yourself an edge. I'm not even talking autofill etc. You have to actually get through to the purchase page for that
A colleague tried yesterday for the first time ever and got tickets for him and his wife, a friend and her rather large group tried and got nothing; she has managed to get coach tickets for many years in a row.

I'm in Poland currently and will be trying on Sunday, from what I've heard there is a very good chance if you are abroad.

Feel for you bro, my mates were quite dim before, on the whatsapp group saying 'any luck yet' or 'holding page' etc - why bother. I beat it out of them in the end, that sort of incompetence is infuriating. Just don't have muppets like that in your group.
oh ive learnt although tbh prob to no avail as the 50th was prob gonna be my last one. people fking chatting on whatsapp when they should be refreshing. fking amateurs grrr!
Yep my daughter; I was refreshing and flicking between browsers in between having to swipe away WhatsApp message from her, moaning that she couldn't get through with screenshot to back it up!

I'd much rather camp with the great unwashed; a bit further out in the quieter areas, however proper camping is all part of the experience.

Last paragraph...
Should I be semi worried about theft, I've read a few things about it (Using the free lockups limiting cash etc) but is it "rife" or just a few cases.
Ive been every year for about 25 years and only once have i had something nicked where they took my tent and everything in it. which was annoying. oh and some shoes once but i had them outside the tent which was stupid.

so be sensible and you should be fine. there are free lock ups if you are worried. or sell me your ticket wink

tbh most people have paid hundreds of pounds for a ticket so most arent the thieving types but you've got 250,000 people so someone is bound to get something nicked.
Just don't leave anything of worth in the tent.

Just avoid Scousers,

One actually told my mate to do up her handbag one year in case one of his gang got in to it.
It will be no different to any big city that you may visit, just use your common sense and keep your wits about you; you'll will be fine,

Yep, wife found it.

Won't be surprised TBH, one would hope that people who have tickets for this year, will be able to carry them over to next!

Chances of it even happening in 2021? I'd say pretty low now
Agree.

I think I read that it takes 3 months just to build it, then you have all the organisation prior to actually building it and currently we are looking at the earliest March 2020 for the current restrictions to be lifted, no one will be looking to put something together for June when they don't know where the land lines until earliest some point in March 20, possibly even later.

The site is far to big for this plus there are many different type of camping areas ranging from quiet and out of the way to right amongst it and then those in the middle, I'd be pretty pissed off if I wanted a quiet and out of the way area and I ended up having to end up camping in an area that parties all night, right next to a stage.

I wonder if Reading and Leeds will go ahead, being right at the end of August they are in a better position but I guess final planning is not too far away.

Either I'm out of touch, or that's a really weak line up. There's not a lot of bands I like there and loads I couldn't tell you a single thing they do. laugh
Yep, looks pretty poor to me, we aren't going this year and TBH after seeing that I'm not that bothered, although Glastonbury in itself is a great experience and there is always something to see somewhere.

Sold out in an hour (technical problems so it took longer than usual)
https://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2022-11-06/li...

Full weekend ticket for next year was £335 + £5 booking fee! eek
Loads of technical issues, many were booted off the payment page, us included, many managed to get tickets, way after the official announcement that it had sold out!
