I bought tickets for 1975 concert on 26/2/20 at M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, they have my name on but are for my wife, daughter & her friend. I never even thought about this when I bought them but, having checked on the website, they make a big thing about the named person having to be there.

I have contacted Ticketmaster who passed me on to the box office at M&S Bank Arena Liverpool who basically said it is nothing to do with them as they did not sell the tickets.

I can understand they want to avoid touts but this cannot be an uncommon problem as lots of people must buy tickets as presents. I can give my wife my credit card & driving licence as proof of ID, and she has the same surname as me, so it is fairly obvious what has happened but I am concerned about some jobsworth on the door not letting them in.

Does anybody have any experience of this, ideally a similar situation, and how strict are they on the door?

Thanks for the feedback. I have contacted Ticketmaster again and they say that they have sent the name change to the box office so my wife can collect the tickets printed with her name on the night.

Hopefully this will all happen but I will also give her my ID, credit card etc and the Letter of Authorisation to be on the safe side.
