Ideas for a 4x4 under 18k

I'm looking for a 4wd that is petrol as I only do short journeys about 6 miles and last year I did about 5000 miles.

Not bothered if its auto or manual.

The new duster is about 18k in the best spec, so that's my top budget.

I want it to have a decent turn of speed, and a decent boot as I have 3 dogs.

Needs to have a decent ground clearance as it will go off road, and be able to tow at least 1500kg

I don't need a massive car. Just reliable and modern ish

So far on the radar are range rover evoque (just in budget), pajero V6 SWB (if I remove the rear seats)but import only and maybe a freelander V6.

But apart from these im struggling a bit and a jimny is far too slow. Any ideas ?

currently on my third landrover which have not caused me too much grief

thought about a vitara 2.4 but maybe looks a bit delicate

not many land cruisers that are petrol in the uk.

I just need 1 car to do everything and only tow maybe once a month, so 5000 miles and 6 miles commute lol
