I ran a V8 WJ for a while on gas and loved it. Cheap inside, but well put together mechanically at least and never gave any trouble. I found it fine on the road contrary to reviews and of course fantastic off road.

I'm now tempted by the WK. Are they as sturdy as the older ones? What is the Merc lump like in terms of reliability? I'm not expecting great mpg nor do I care. Tax is eye watering but but so be it.

Limited or Overland seems to be the spec to go for (parking sensors, etc). The Overland has the big screen - anything else of note?

Good reading thank you. I had forgotten about jeepforum in the States, I think I have an account on there too.

I think I'll definitely start looking for one.
