Suzuki vitara mud tyres

Hi just wondering if anyone can help. I Want to know what's the biggest mud tyres I can fit on a suzuki vitara 1997 2.0 diesel 5 door with a 2" lift kit on ? and what size wheel spacers can i fit aswell ? Thanks

They're 16s and no modification to arches or gearing

Oh okay I didn't realise it would affect gearing. What does it do to the gearing then ? And thankyou very much for your help I will have a look 👍
