Despite selling up a few years ago, I've just booked my flight to come back to the UAE. When I first came here, I arrived just with whatever I could squeeze into my baggage allowance, leaving stuff behind in storage. This time however, I've got a few more things to bring with me along with my wife and baby. It's not masses off stuff, just 2-3 shipping boxes of things - nothing super valuable/breakable.

As I got burnt badly shipping stuff out of the UAE (to Tunisia, not the UK), I'm double/triple checking everything this time. Was looking to use one company, but have since found a slew of complaints online so I'm giving them a wide berth. Does anyone have any recommendations or experiences of companies who're able to bring out a few boxes of things without breaking the bank?

Cheers

Just as a follow on this in case everyone else wants to do this. Ended up going with Pickfords in the end as they seemed to be the best of a bad bunch. Though the package got passed around between around 3-4 different handlers as it was a small shipment.

Total cost came to around 1700 Dhs for 2 boxes of around 50kg total. This is split 50/50 between UK costs, and arrival charges here in Dubai.

Took the best part of 6weeks for everything to come through - got caught up with public holidays here and in the UK, so took a bit longer than was expected.

UK was no hassles, loads of boxes were delivered by courier, then collected when full. Here, things took a while to come through and needed about an hour's worth of faffing around with paperwork at Cargo Village.
