Hi,

As the title suggests my rvf is running like a bag of potatoes which may mean the carbs need re jetting and all that jazz.

I've honestly got no idea what I'm doing in that area so is there anyone who comes recommended who may be able to help me out?

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I've done some questioning on various rvf forums and they are the ones who suggested a jet kit for the carbs.

Basically when on the likes of the 311 when your doing 120 and open the throttle the bike basically dies. If you dont dump the clutch and blip the throttle the bike will slow to the point it stalls in the gear its in. There is also a flat spot from about 7-8.5K in the rev range.

Thanks again. I'll look at that. Couple of posts do refer to weak vacum lines which collapse due to age causing fuel starvation.

Thanks for the replies. I'm on the hunt for a vacuum hose and fuel filters but certainly if anyone still knows anyone with good knowledge in carb'd bikes I'd appreciate it.
