As per the title - anyone had any experiences of dealing with the Rental Dispute peeps at RERA?

Short story, moved in in September last year, Landlord informed me via text in December he wants to sell, since then we've been dealing with agents viewing nearly every weekend (20 viewings at last count) with minimum 48hrs notice on all viewings.

We want out of the place, but landlord being tetchy - just wanted to see if he has any legs to stand on.

From what I have read, as he hasn't officially given notarised written notice, he can't actually ask us to leave until he gives 12months notice from end of current contract.

Any advice?

Thanks for the advice. We actually came to an amicable solution with the landlord whereby we gave 1 month's notice to vacate early and paid 50% of the early exit fee that was stipulated in the contract. This way he gets an empty villa to we out for viewings, open days and the like and we can move into a new place that's taking 12cheques.

On the phone he realised that we could've made his life difficult by sticking to our guns and remaining for another 12 months after the end of the first year, but this way we came to a solution that worked for everyone.

Cheers
