Club race pic's

I'm a huge fan of club racing, and always have my camera with me when I'm spectating. I'm no photographer (I'll get the excuses in early ), but it's fun to have a go!

There's always loads of people with digi-cameras on the banks now, so I thought I'd start a thread for folk to drop any random club meeting pic's they may have in.

Never know, people may spot themselves

ETA; the track should only be going one way in each pic - dodgy spacing on post by me makes it look like there may be some head-ons

I was there all weekend too and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was annoyed at missing the Minis! I got delayed on Saturday and missed the first race and couldn't make Sunday.

Did the Minis have a good sized grid? I've noticed grid numbers for most meetings seem to be quite small so far this year. Hopefully they'll get better as the year progresses

Because I am at most of the Brands meetings I have many shots from the club meets in particular and so if anybody wants shots of their car please let me know and I would be happy to trawl through and I will supply any to Pistonheads members to get my name about as it were.

I will post up some samples and links to my Photobucket albums later but these will be a mere sample of the shots I hold.

Welcome along mate

That's the reason I started this thread actually, me and a mate have bought season passes for Snett and Cadwell (bargain bundle!).

My thinking was that I'd stick up a random selection from meetings I'm at, and if anyone wants a specific pic of a certain car then I can look through the others and see if I have one without a thumb half covering the lens

I'll try and post in here which meetings I'm going to as well, so if anyone's racing I'll try and pap you

What was the racing class these first ones were running in?

I'm afraid I've binned my programme, but I think it was the Dunlop Production Touring Car Championship http://www.barc.net/index.php?option=com_content&a...

The fella a few posts up was in the race, so he'd be worth a mail for details

I went to the VSCC meeting at Cadwell on Saturday. A brilliant day and fascinating!

The yellow car is a 4.2 litre v-twin on open pipes! My old man reckoned that at one point it looked like the engine was going to stay still and the car spin around it

You'll always know this particular one due to the controversial snorkels on the engine cover installed by the previous owner. Do you mind if I steal the pic? Of course I don't mind mate, I'll drop you a PM with a full-res uncropped version. I didn't take many pic's of the road cars, only the ones that really caught my attention!

I'll be there both days (hopefully) with my camera, so if anyone wants any grainy, out of focus photo's from three miles away, let me know what you're driving and I'll have a go

I saw your car in the garage, but I think there was a drivers briefing on or something - nobody about!

Anyway, I snapped a few pic's of you:



















(I did warn you they'd be grainy. The sun was right behind the track today, I thought they were using the 300 circuit so marched up to the new hill at lunchtime, only to stand there like a lemon. Photo's would have been much easier with the sun behind over there!)
