AMD Transponder or Mylaps

I'm considering selling one of my AMD Transponders (wired) and trying out a new Mylaps version.
The website informs that you are able to get live data at the track by using laptop or App.

Can anyone who has experience of these advise if they are worth switching to, and will they work at all UK tracks.

I don't think I will buy one of the newer versions yet, and wait to see if they improve the product. Its a great shame that the Circuits don't help by not switching the transmission on, to enable the users to capture the timings.

I will see what Combe are doing this year, and speak to those using the new version at the circuit.
