What do you guys think is the best wet weather tyre to run from the MSUK 1A-C list? I'm running Toyo Proxes R888Rs for the dry, but need to choose which wets I want...

Are the Uniroyal Rainsport 3s any good? Or is there another tyre worth looking at?

Cheers guys. I was after a set of R1Rs but can’t get them in the right size which is a shame. Leaning towards the Uniroyals then I think. My series allows whatever tyre you want off the MSUK 1a-c list so I want a good set of wets and dries to start the year.

Took the car out at Snetterton yesterday and tried the Rainsports in the morning when it was wet. Gotta say, I’m not impressed. Car was all over the shop, and the rear in particular was super twitchy on turn in (had a neat little pirouette at the bomb hole as a result). I suspect they’re the sort of tyre that would be good in monsoon-like conditions, but for damp/drying track conditions, I’m just going to use my Toyo 888r’s (which provide ridiculous grip in the dry, incidentally).

I found getting the Rainsports shaved made a huge change to grip/predictability without detriment to wet performance.
It's prohibited in the series I'm doing, unfortunately!
