Just looking at your profile and see you have a Grantura.
Well, the Gem was Tommy Entwistles idea for the TVR for the 70s.
Tommy was arguably the most successful and prolific TVR Grantura racer of the 60s, he won the Freddie Dixon trophy three times, once going across the finish line at Oulton Park on his Granturas roof!
The Gem is a TVR / Grantura plastics one off prototype built in 67 for Tommy ( who owned Grantura plastics who made all The TVR bodies, he was also director of TVR)
TVR was taken into the 70, by the Lilllies who didn’t take the GEM up so Tommy kept on racing it up in to his eighties.
Here is a picture of my son taking it across the finish line of the 2018 Birkett, courtesy of team “ Grunties” 50 years after Tommy raced it in the Birkett in 1968.

I'll be out in the old Bluebus again this year. Entered a handful of HERO and HRCR rallies, plus the HRCR Speed Series and BARC Connaught Speed Championship for some hill climbing and sprinting. It's been a few years since I last entered a BARC event so I'm keen to find out how the revised handicap points system favours the older cars. A number of events are on both HRCR and BARC calendars so it should be interesting.
Shame Chateau Impney is no more too. Lucky enough to get an entry there last year and loved it.
