A question for the gentlemen of the U ...

Mirrors for the GTR. Do they work properly at UK speeds, or do they vibrate? Is the visibility over and around the rear wing acceptable; for exammple on a busy motorway.

Having seen the rather appealing idea of Can Am mirrors on a GTR, is it more practical?

Also, regarding double din AV. Are the poitioning tolerances in the passanger side very tight. I am thinking of getting a nav unit with possibly a second smaller monitor on the front roll bar to act as a rear view mirror (with suitable camera).

Do you have any recommendations for aerials (internal/roof mounted)

Your thoughts on both subjects are greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your long and detailed replies. Your advice is much appreciated. It's reassuring to know that what I want, though fiddly is possible.

7litrebig, I saw your car at the recent MB SS. I very much liked the look of your mirrors and if definitely appeals to me. I think that you are spot on in regard to them looking better shortened.

Thanks again,

have you thought of fitting the standard mirrors in a lower position on the doors??
No, and I didn't realise that you could.

I am sorely tempted to come to Stonleigh and take some photos. I think it would probably settle the myriad of questions that I have got.
