Just coming back from a run out and this happens!!!!!
Discussion
Just enjoyed a run out in the country to see a man about a new swirl pot for next year, to rid me of my fueling problems . We were just rounding a bend at about 35-40 when I spotted (too late) two grey bricks in the middle of my carraige that had nodoubt fallen off some tts truck, no chance of taking any avoiding action as there was oncoming traffic, so went over them . My wife didn't see them so it was a bit of a shock for her when they bounced their way down her side of the car smashing into the seat mounting bolts and sending shock waves up her spine they did make a hellofa noise...anyway this was the result.
Looks like a new splitter as one of the bricks hit directly under the mounting point.
Splitter not even 4 months old, and certainly hardly any miles done since I got the car back in May
Still as my wife said it could have been worse, they could taken a tyre out or the splitter could have scooped them up into the rad or smashed the the front of the clip....
($hit happens)

Yep the splitter did its job, just would've liked for it not to have happened this soon! A bit heartbreaking really as it took the painter three days to get all the pinholes out and get it to a fantastic finish.
Not sure what route I'm going to take at the moment, same again, just wood painted black or mould?..
FC
My splitter is different as it forms the floor under the radiator, so it's a lot deeper.
