Well, almost, still some adjustments like bigger wastegates, but it is now road legal (sadly trackdays are fully booked all over the uk) but at least I get to drive it a bit and learn to cope with turbos on cold roads.

ongoing thanks to Steve, Mike at BoostPerformance, Henry at TripleH tuning, and Simon at MiAutoElectric

The turbo delivery reminds me of superbikes in the wet, and I still have the gravel in my knees from previous carelessness, so hoefully I'm a bit more careful now.
The dyno got to about 625 hp at the crack at 5000rpm, but then the boost started to creep up rather sharply, so for now, rev limiter set at 5200 untill the new bigger wastegates get fitted, sadly that'll mean chopping some of the thermal cladding, which will have to be replaced over the winter. Expectation is to run 10-12 psi and achieve 850 hp at the crank, hopefully a bit more dyno work will cut turbo lag further and limit torque a bit. RS roof scoop still to be fitted, which will need a bit of fibreglass work due to the different rear clam on the RS.
Do different list? smaller lighter TT V6? easy 1000hp with new japanese engineering....worth a thought, but not sure if I would do that, should make lots more space for access. I think I'd get a newer ECU over the motec, it's just a bit short on in/outputs. I would have also used a sequential gearbox (albins?) rather than the Quaife thats in it, that would be better esp on track and better rated for the power it'll put out eventually, but £18k+ would be another major investment which I'm not keen on over just getting some time in the car. Given the aim of the SS/RustiEvo rebuild which was to race, I would have loved to cut more weight by using carbon ceramic brakes, maybe sometime in the future.
I'll try and get some more engine pics soon as that is probably more interesting to the ultima crowd. Just glad to get a few miles in the sun this last few days

I've booked that day too, just spent the afternoon getting rear of the car prepped to pull the gearbox off 2m as the clutch is now slipping......problem is where to get a replacement for a custom clutch for AP who can no longer offer a replacement. Hoping MacG can work some magic in time for KH on the 7th.

It is, very rewarding sadly only done about 100 miles in the last 18 months or so due to engine transplant, the grip in a few corners has been amazing, but clutch slip and turbo lag makes exit of corners amusing.
