Stripped and cleaned my Accusump today.......

I have stripped and cleaned my accusump, i am very glad i did it was horrible!! The oil in it was as black as a black thing.

The engine had only done 2700 miles and i think the accusump will always have a horrible thick residue in it unless it is stipped and cleaned on a regular basis.

When you discharge the oil from the Accusump on an oilchange with the position of the outlet being in the centre of the unit i think it will always never empty fully??? I know the oil is supposed to circulate fully but when i dropped the oil from the sump it was not as black as what was in the Accusump.

Has anyone else found the same??

no gaskets required just a 90 degree set of pliers to remove the internal circlips. The ends feel like they dont want to release but it is just the vacuum!
