Ultima GTR LMP "The re-build"

This year I decided to REALLY go all in and do things right all the way... ;-)



Will post a bunch of shots of the rebuild here, but I can say that its going to be wider, lighter, new turbos and fully equipped for Gumball 2011!





To tear this thing apart might be completely retarded, but it was necessary to create something even more retarded! ;-) Always do things better then required!

I have moulds for the clips so just contact me if you are interested of LMP design clips... The old ones will be used to make the new plug...

So fun to set the first lines and figure out how its going to look! (but far from easy!)

Will keep posting as soon as more things happen, the chassie is of to paint today so we will start putting this thing together very soon! Deadline for the whole car is 1st of March!

A little update on whats going on, decided to do all the adjustment fittings on everything before we sent the chassie away, but I think that it will be done very soon so we can get on the way to mount everything back on there...

Really happy to have lifted up the bar right above the knees to get a little more space there, and a heating package never hurts...

Thought I would hold off until we where done with design but I played around a little this afternoon and I guess I can give a hint of what it will look like, not even close do done with design but you get the idea... Have a guy doing a 3D drawing of the car now so I should have the final design in a coupe weeks, will be a hectic winter... Car is scheduled to be at an event at the end of march...;-)

Thought it was time for a little update...

Pics are a few days old so pretty soon I should be getting pics that will be very close to what it will look like... ;-) I think the new lights look great, anyone who can identify them? ;-)

Thanks for all the fuel thoughts! As we build this for Gumball we are actually doing both to maximize the fuel capacity and range , one fuel tank in the pods and keeping the normal ones. ;-) After GB we plan om making a side pod solution...

Full speed in the garage! Lights took forever to get in there but now we are up to speed again!

Build is going well and things are falling into place, will be a tight one for Gumball but we will make it! ;-)







Front clip is back in carbon fiber in 4 days. Backend was finished today and will get a couple layes of pain before its send to carbon.

I guess its about time for a little update as Gumball is only 19 days away! Tokan who is building the car has been in the garage 24/7 for the past two months but its starting to pay off!

Say hello to the re-named Rebellion R1k. (ex Ultima GTR but as its only the windscreen left it deserved a new name;-) !)

The car is done machine wise now all we have to do is fit the last parts of the body. Its going to an insanely wide crazy little machine!!!
