I believe in giving credit where it's due and this morning Richer Sounds have exceeded my expectations...

I have recently bought a samsung UE40F5500. Apparently the picture isn't as good as Panasonic, but as an upgrade from a 27" CRT I don't really notice. The far bigger screen outweighs the loss of detail clarity that the CRT had.

What does make a difference is the smart hub in the Samsung. I've connected both the TV and Amp with ethernet to the router, and can now access netflix, iplay 4OD etc etc directly from the TV. I have also set up a small NAS, and can also play all my recordings via the router, with spotify etc available to the amp. There's a good android/apple app to control the Denon amp with which makes life easy.

The TV will record to USB as well, but I've lost the twin tuners I had with my old freeview/DVR box. I have a small bedroom TV that records to USB as well so I can use that if I need to.
That was November 2013.
The TV slowly developed a black smudge in the corner of the screen, and on Monday morning, when I found the paperwork for the free 5 year warranty, I rang Richer Sounds.
Yesterday a repair company arrived to take it away.
This morning they rang to advise that Richer Sounds had deemed it uneconomic to repair.
This morning I was called by the manager of the local store, to advise that my new replacement was ready for collection.

It isn't just that Richer Sounds have stood by their warranty and replaced new for old, but the speed of response by them and their agents has been amazing. 48hrs. Well done.

Just resurrecting this again. The replacement Samsung developed a fault. Richer Sounds have looked after me properly. Again. thumbup
