Best headset for dual purpose ?

Looking for advice please. Son#1 is looking for a good set of on ear headphones that he can use for :

1 - gaming on PS4 with an in-line mic or equivalent plugged into the controller so he can shout to his mates as they blow things up

2 - to be either Bluetooth or plugged into his phone / iPad so he can listen to music

We bought these.....he was extremely pleased with comfort and sound quality.....but being numpty’s we didn’t realise they didn’t have an inline mic so are useless for the gaming angle.

Many thanks for the info....but we took the Sennheisers back already. We are looking for a replacement that can do both jobs !

Looks like my search has been in vain to be able to get the dual purpose plugged in & Bluetooth.

So, anyone know if the Sennheiser HD 4.30i (optimised for apple) will work with PS4 controller plugged in ?
