Hi,

Currently having an extension and renovation on the house being done.

Part of this is to install Control4 and I am looking at home cinema for the main living space. It's been a while since I have had a setup. I have always been a fan of KEF kit, but I can get a good deal on Triad.

Anyone here have them in their own home or any of the installers out there recommend them?

I like the idea of the in-celling speakers than can be rotated to aim the sound towards the listening point.

I can get away with in-wall at the front but for the rears I am really looking at in-ceiling. I would also like to add in-ceiling height speakers to support Dolby Atmos.

Thanks in advance,
Royce

This won't be a dealer install, I can just get them at a good price.

When you say 'a good price' how good is good?

And do they offer what you need or are you seeing the price and thinking you could make them work?

V.
They will still be more expensive than KEF Ci series I was looking at, but a healthy discount none the less.

I can find quite a few reviews on KEF as they are a brand that is more mainstream and they are easier to get a demo of in comparison.

I guess the basic question I am trying to find out is if Triad is worth considering?

Thanks Red 5

It's the rotating satellite speakers that caught my eye as a potential solution to not having rears at ear level.

What I am creating is by no means a theatre grade install and has many A/V environmental annoyances. I want it to sound presentable.

5.1.2 is what I would be wiring for, if not installing straight away, a small uplift from 5.1 is what I am hoping for.

Haven't decided which sub to go for yet, but have strategically placed the kids bedrooms at the other end of the house already biggrin

Thanks for the input. thumbup
