I’ve just got the fixtures and fitting list through for my new home, and the 75” Samsung in the cinema room is unsurprisingly going.

I don’t know if I need or ant to have the very last word in picture quality, my five year old Samsung in the current home looks just perfect to me, and I don’t ever recall watching any television and noticing the picture quality, but do you actually save much money for going to “percerctly decent” from state of the art?

Can anyone offer any suggestions? We are clearing out every last bit of saving we have on the new house, so my normally cavalier attitude to spending should probably be reined in a bit.

On the other hand, if anyone thinks it is worth spending more, what is the current best set?

What size screen? If 75 is too small get a projector. I have a 130 inch screen in my cinema room. If you’re going to do it you need to black the room out as much as possible to get the best from it but if it is a dedicated room then no problem.
75 is fine, it’s the right size for the built-in alcove.

Beovision Avant 75”... a snip at around £14,000 incl. wall bracket.
You’re saying it’s worth the money, is that what you have, and what made you choose it if so?
