I have an Denon AVR-X2200W receiver, and it has some annoying habits sometimes and I am not sure if it is related to the way it works if it needs a hard reset to factory defaults or not. It basically has 3 habit's which while not world ending are a tad annoying, and wondered if anyone else had experienced these at all.

1. Input Select - My default input is my xbox, have a tv tuner as well as smart hub so used as my primary start. When the receiver turns on it sometimes reverts to a different input, i am not sure if it hasn't picked up the xbox signal and reverts but it is not consistent and sometimes i have to switch back to the xbox more than once when it is switch on

2. Input Loss - This is less frequent but it has occured where i am gaming or watching something, the screen goes black and it looses the signal. I have to use a different input on the remote, switch back and then it carries on ok and will do for some time

3. 'Clicking Noise' - So this happens when the receiver turns on, it clicks which is i assume the speakers receiving a signal from the receiver so i get why this occurs. However i noticed yesterday watching some youtube vids it was doing this while the video was still paying, it strikes me as odd if my understanding is correct but maybe that is not the case.

I will add he receiver was not new to me, a friend got it new and i bought it off him and it has been looked after. The cables are a bit of a mismatch right now in terms of the speaker cables, I do have new cable coming to redo this so I am hoping this may help with point 3 above as i had to play with 1 speaker cable after i changed my setup with a new tv stand

Not yet no, I want to replace the cables and try a factory reset first to see as I am sure that will be on their advice list

Thanks for the replies, i did check the CEC stuff and it was enabled so switched off and it's behaved so far....funny that

I need to do some new wiring for it so hopefully the clicks will stop after than, but i do make sure the xbox comes on after the receiver normally

So last night i noticed it seems to be only youtube that is obvious with what sounds like speakers turning on and off, i wonder if it is maybe something to do with how it encodes the audio stream which causes this. I am still to replace the speaker cables yet so see if that changes anything however
