I fancy setting up a amp and speakers to start in my office then maybe a record deck
I have preference for something vintage (not really vintage 70's 80's) purely for assthetics really dont want to spend a huge amount so maybe £100 ish on a amp. Is there anything I should stay clear of ?
Seen a nice looking akai early 80's receiver and some rotel rx-102/104
Any pointers I'm aware they may need re capping and contact cleaning and other such things

Update the cassette deck doesn't power on so new fuses ordered and a multimeter
The deck powers on but I've found the toothed belt that controls the fine speed adjustment is toast anyone know where I could get one ?
Can you confirm the deck part number? You said it is a Beogram 1700 but that’s not what’s in your picture and I can’t quite make the part number out. The deck powers on but I've found the toothed belt that controls the fine speed adjustment is toast anyone know where I could get one ?
Regardless, any B&O spares you need can be obtained from a chap called Martin in Denmark here: https://www.beoparts-shop.com/
He knows everything there is to know about B&O and is very helpful.
And I will reply to your email as soon as I can - been a busy day!
Another update the record deck works. It spins the arm moves and now I have an LP sound comes out!
But only out of the tweeter in one speaker
I've also ordered a recap kit for the amp new speaker output switch and power switch for the tape deck as that moved when I bypassed the switch
Do all in all its gone ok but will see how I cope re capping it 70+ items to replace
