I currently have an ageing Squeezebox radio which has served me well, but it's recently developed a fault.

This radio can be programmed to play music off my NAS, or 'tune in' to play internet radio stations.

I'm now looking for something with the same functionality - does anyone have any ideas?

I have a variety of squeezeboxes but I ended up setting up a raspberry pi with a dac connected to my floorstanders.

It can act either as a client or as a combination of server and client.
Yeah I've run Daphile +others in the past as well - but without building a Pi with a display etc. for the time and so on, they're not much good as a clock.

What fault has your SB Radio got ? If it’s having problems connecting to WiFi, there is new community firmware that may help.
I came back here this morning to post that my issue seems to have been resolved by updating to this new firmware.

I was surprised that a firmware update solved the issue because it was looking like a hardware issue.

The fault was that the radio would come on as triggered by the alarm, play a short burst of music and then promptly go mute. Pressing any button on the front panel would momentarily restore the sound but then it would go off again.

I could see the play > symbol in the display, so the radio wasn't paused. Likewise, going to the SB web interface also showed that it was still playing.

A very strange fault to be caused by firmware that's been installed for the past 5 years at least!

Thanks for all the replies.
