Just trying to sort out a new home cinema/hifi query.
I'm looking at the Wharfedale Vardus 400 floorstanders,to go with my hifi seperates.There is also a good deal on Wharfedale Diamond surround speakers,with the Onkyo 307 AV receiver.Is there any way I can use the two floorstanders in one instance as pure stereo,using the CD/amp seperates,whilst also being able to use them integrated in a surround system using a seperate AV receiver plus rear surrounds/centre/and possibly sub.

Thats something I'll look into David.UltraViolent,that is exactly what I'm worried about.This is solely about aesthetics,ie:two floorstanders each side of the fireplace,and two front surrounds on stands at the side of them may look a little cluttered.If there is no way to do it without losing stereo sound quality,I'll just have to use totally seperate speakers.(The main problem,in all honesty,is SWMBO doesn't want the room to look like a hifi shop).
