Connecting up the surround sound

I have just purchased off a friend a Logik flat screen TV and a Sony surround sound system.

Now I can play dvds on the Ss system and watch them through the TV but I can't figure out how to play the tv/ xbox sound through the SS. I can't find the manual so I was hoping someone on here might be able to help. The Tv and Ss are connected vis a Scart lead.

There are 2 on the back as far as I can see but it doesn't seem to make a difference when I move between the two.

Doesn't have phono outputs, will have to have a play with the TV menus to look at scart options , couldn't find out from a brief look
