Flame suit at the ready....
Discussion
I am thinking of changing my Linn Classik Movie, for a Bose Lifestyle something or other - probably a 35 (but used). The Classik is currently paired with a Linn Sizmik sub, and a pair of Castle Durham speakers. No surrounds fitted because I've been too lazy to cable them.
In my defence...
1) All of the existing stuff is a few years old.
2) This system is in the TV room
3) I can't remember the last time I listened to music on it
4) The DVD player doesn't work on the Classik, and the display is mangled - no idea how much the fix on this would cost.
5) Increasingly we spend our time in the kitchen where I have a Bose linked to the TV etc. It sounds ok at low volume which is all it ever gets played at.
6) I have a Linn system for listening to music in another room
So, the idea runs. Bin the Classik (or pick up a couple of hundred on Ebay for it more likely). Ditto the Castles. Move the Sizmik to the other room where it will enhance the system. And pick up a nice, neat, all in one Bose Lifestyle.
Any sense in this at all, or am I finally certifiable?
