Morning all.

Iv updated my TV to the panny vt50" 3D, in now moved on to updating the layout of the lounge. Using a spare room Im location all clutter (DVD player, ps3, pc tower) out of site. This will allow me to put the TV on the wall, passing the cables from the spare room into the back of the TV. Giving the affect of being no clutter in the lounge.

The Question is if I buy the panny SC-PT480 (cheap but powerful) will all this clever VIERA stuff allow me to turn the volume up and down with my normal panny TV remote. Therefore, avoiding having 2 remotes and an inferred extender.

It turns the ps3 on and the tv remote gives me basic ps3 control. I'm hopping this is all via VIERA. Sadly the number pad on the remote doesn't work on the ps3 or writing would be very much like txting. Not the best thing but better than the ps3 default way.

All the "parts" need to be VIERA link capable. I think ?

Sky... Now that is a hole new world and anther controller to have cluttering up my lounge. If the panny remote would control sky aswell, I would get it. Is it that much to ask that all the tvs etc would work on the same "waves". Tvs are a bit old hack. I'm shocked the remotes arnt Bluetooth yet.
