TVRCC Herts, Beds & Middlesex: Visit to Prodrive in Banbury
Discussion
Hi folks
I spoke with a few people at the Jaguar visit earlier this month to determine the amount of interest in this possible event.
I've spoken to Pro-drive about the details of their heritage tour and they are as following...
For those who liked the Heritage Motor Museum, it is about 15mins away from Pro-drive if you wish to visit it afterwards.
So, if this possible event is of interest to you, please put your name down below and if enough people are interested, I will potentially look into
arranging this either in autumn or next year.
More details on Pro-drive can be found @

Thanks!

I've spoken to Pro-drive about the details of their heritage tour and they are as following...
- A weekend tour costs about £27 per person
- The tour takes about 3 hours in total
- The tour starts off in the heritage centre where you can see examples of Prodrive modified rally cars (see http://www.prodrive.com/level3.html?id=809 for a list)
- You can also buy specialist pro-drive parts here at reduced prices
- Once the heritage centre tour is complete, you move onto the engines/transmissions department where you can see Aston Martins and Mini car builds, fabrication, CNC, electrical and WRC tuning in progress.

Right folks.
I'm aiming to do this one Saturday during October - either 6, 13, 20 or 27th.
Please put down your preference and I will aim for the majority date.
Also note, this particular event is only open to TVRCC members.
I will need a response by about the 10th August, although this is dependent
on how much advance notice Prodrive need and the dates they have available.
Thanks!

ProDrive
For those going on the ProDrive tour, please find enclosed the run-in route I intend to use.
You are of course welcome to join us for the whole or part of the run-in depending on where
you live, but please ensure you get to ProDrive in Banbury for about 1050, as the tour
starts at 1100.
Depending on how many are interested, we may pop over to the Heritage Motor Museum in
Gayden afterwards (about 10-15mins away) to see the part of Jaguar collection that they
currently have on display. This is totally up to individuals, but is offered if anyone is interested.
The cost of the ProDrive tour will be £27 per person and lasts for about 3-4 hrs. You can - if so
inclined - also purchase ProDrive parts etc. at their store for a discount off the usual prices.
This is definitely the last factory tour of the year, but if you have any suggestions for next year,
please let me know.
The run-in route is listed on...
http://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.as... near the end as a PDF file.
