Have you all seen the email from Alex about the Blancpain GT -on 5th May at Brands Hatch? Sound like a good day out and it's FREE!!! thumbup

Be there or be.... somewhere else laugh

Don't forget, this Sunday is our first meet of the year at the Red Lion .

Hopefully Santa will have brought them a decent coffee machine for Christmas.

Unfortunately I can't be there because Watford FC has rescheduled the home game to Sunday lunch time to fit in with SKY rather than fitting in with me.mad

Hi All
This coming Sunday (the 7th) is the first Sunday of the month and would normally be our regular monthly meet. However it is also the day of the Burghley event and some of us will be going there, so numbers at the Red Lion will be lower than normal.

A few of us are on the Timeline so we need to be there early. If you want to join us for the drive up we'll be meeting at Aylett's garden center on the North Orbital Road (A414). To get there on time we'll be LEAVING Aylett's at 08.15. Weather permitting! If it's raining like last year we might have to re-think!

Please add your name below so we know who's going where:-

Ayletts (leaving 08.15)
Joe
Graham
John

Burghley (meeting there)

Red Lion

What ever you do, have a good day.

It's two weeks until the 1st Sunday of the month (the 5th May) so here's a heads up as to what's on that weekend.

There is the first day of the TVR Festival at Castle Combe - details HERE.

There is also the Blancpain GT at Brands Hatch - details HERE

And of course there is the monthly meet at the Red Lion. Please note though that some of us will be at one or other of these events so if you are thinking of going to the Red Lion please be aware that there will be a few missing/elsewhere. As the Castle Combe festival combines with S-Club I'll be going there.

FUTURE EVENT:-
Please let me know if you would be interested in a trip to the Aston Martin Museum, probably some time in June. More details HERE. The museum is in Drayton Saint Leonard, Oxfordshire, so quite a nice run out. I'm not sure how professional it is though, if you look on the "Visit us" page of their website there's no address or directions! Anyway, let me know please if you're interested.

Event in August:
TVRs at The Castles - NEW for 2019
More details here https://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk/events.html

This is the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
I'm suggesting we book tickets for the event at Broughton Castle, Banbury OX15 5EB on Sunday 25th as this will be a good run out from our area.

Tickets appear to be limited so please book via the TVRCC events page as soon as you can.

Sunday week (2nd) is the 1st Sunday of June so we will be at the Red Lion.
The following Sunday, the 9th is the Luton Car Show. You can book in advance or pay at the gate. Details here:-

The Sunday after that (the 16th) is the Marsworth Show. No need to book, just turn up.

Finally, don't forget Bespoke Open Day this Saturday.

Because the first Sunday of July clashes with a couple of other events turnout is likely to be lower than normal. Would people be interested in bringing forward the July meet to Sunday 30th June?

Hi All.

This coming Sunday (4th) is the first Sunday of the month we'll be meeting as normal at the Red Lion.

The following Sunday (11th) is the Ley Hill Classic Car show. We usually have a good turnout for this so please come along if you can. If you'd like to park as a group please be there well before 12 noon when the show officially opens. After that there's no reserved parking. If the weather is fine the field will fill up quite quickly so if you want to come and you're able to get there early let me know and I'll keep a space for you up until noon.

This coming Sunday (1st September) is the first of the month and so we'll be meeting at the Red Lion as normal.

There are a couple of events coming up in September you may be interested in:-

Sunday 8th - Capel Manor Classic & Vintage car show. Very easy to get to (J25 on the M25). You can book in advance for £7 or pay £9 on the day. Details here https://www.capelmanorgardens.co.uk/events/classic...

Sat & Sun 21st & 22nd - Kop Hill Climb Festival - This is one of the biggest local events and well worth going if you haven't been before. There's a discount for advance booking (£12 instead of £15 on the gate) but no club parking so we'd all need to arrive together so as to be parked together. Detail's here:-

https://www.kophillclimb.org.uk/tickets/

There's a Bicester Scramble on the 6th October. According to the website the TVRCC has registered so I'm looking into ticket avaiability through the Club. Details here:-

http://bicesterheritage.co.uk/whaton/october/

Please let me know on Sunday if you're interested in this one.

We had a good turn out at Ley Hill and Knebworth over both days.

This Sunday is the 1st of the month so there will be the usual meeting at the Red Lion.

A couple of us have tickets for Bicester but the weather forecast at the moment is for rain so it may be a case of wait and see.

This coming Sunday is the first of the month (and the 1st December to boot :-)) so we'll be meeting at the Red Lion as usual.

The first Sunday in January is the 5th. Hopefully this is long enough after the New Year break to be convenient for everyone but let me know what you think on Sunday.

There was a suggestion at last weeks meeting to go to the Sunday Scramble at Bicester on the first Sunday of January (the 5th) instead of the usual meet at the Red Lion.

I've checked and there's no "official" TVR prescence at this one but it could still be a good way yo kick off the New Year if the weather is fine.

Details HERE

We don't want anyone turning up at either the Red Lion or Biscester and being the only one there so can you post up here which one you'd prefer to go to please.

Thanks.

Have a great Christmas everyone xmasbeer
