In truth, I have found them to be no different. There seems to be an entrenched belief that these 'open' trackdays are only attended by those intent on crashing in to you. They are not.
The 'rules' are the same - overtake with consent on specified side, not in braking zone or in the corners.
You have to use you mirrors and drive with consideration - ie, if someone catches you then they are faster, little lift, indicate and let them by on the straight.
Same marshalls and 'clerk of the course' so bad driving has the same consequences.
Come along and see for yourself. I have booked a garage. Phazed is coming in his porkwagon. Another TVR would be great.

Was a really good day.
Started out damp but the sun was out and it dried up nicely.
While wiring in my new third brake light I discovered the brake lights weren't working. Turned out the microswitch wasn't opening up enough.
By the time it was sorted the track was dry and project tyre scrub continued.
Phazed also took me out in the Skoda to show me how it should be done.
Lots of fun. An added bonus getting fuel at 1.57
