swearing and daytime TV
Discussion
Having recently had cause to watch daytime television due to a particularly nasty bug. I was a bit surprised at the frequent casual use of swear words, arrse, st and b*stard no F words.
The use was so casual and in a variety of program types. I swear too much myself but I disagree with how accepted this is.
Am I being naive?

Were these programs previously shown post watershed. For instance a detective drama?
Forgot to reply sorry! Was definitely an American tv program, ncis, law and order type of show, I do recall the casual use, wasn't a tense scene or during a build-up to anything. IIRC also heard during some idiot tv reality show of some sort.Maybe it is just a sign of the times? As I said I am no stranger to using naughty words but only when suitable (not in front of kids or parents) but hearing it on daytime television feels totally wrong.
