Seems they have a Marvel equivalent hit now.

I don't see Aquaman having the same sort of run...

Not sure what you are getting at from the stats?

Batman vs Superman vs Grendel was crap but it made a fortune.
Suicide Squad wasn't very good but it made money.
Wonder Woman is pretty crap but is making money.

Sure, there's a pattern there, but how many times is this Extended Poopiverse going to be given the benefit of doubt?
Well, the DCEU films weren't the Marvel-level success. Film companies all want franchises now, and the top ones want that billion dollar hit, to offset all the subpar hits. It's not just about making money, it's about getting the billion dollars, hence the Chinese edits in a lot of films. I am with RLM on this, and I think they have a vid on companies chasing the billion dollar hit.
Here is their basic number crunching (plus predictions for 2017) vid.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLk2LBGkMd4
Roughly the cost of a film is x 2 the production, but some films are under, some go way over, like Ghostbusters (director being on record that it'd need 500m just to break even), I would guess that Batman v Superman would be more than x2, considering he sheer saturation that occurred for this film.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Production Budget: $250 million x 2 = 500, now I'd guess that for one of the most hyped films out there, at least on Ghistbusters levels, it's be x2.5, but I'll leave it at 500. $873 - 500 = 373, which seems low for the 'reboot' of the DCEU.
Suicide Squad - Total budget 350 million, profit = 395
Man of Steel - Total budget 450, profit = 218
Wonder Woman - T Budget 298, profit so far = 298
WW seems set to be the most popular film of the series so far. It's low budget helping this. I'm actually surprised SS made so much money, word of mouth did stop it being the 'big hit.'
I am really interested in what the JLA film will make...and what it's budget will be, I'll also guess that the advert budget will be a lot more than x2.

Firefly would be a good one.

Difficult to see how much more stuffed up the situation in the DCEU could be

That's true, but it seems they're also dealing with a bit of a diva, or wannabe diva anyway. biggrin

Grace chats about the news that The Batman will be released in 2021, no Affleck, it's gonna be a young one. DC have done a great job of turning me off this franchise, Joker and Shazam! films are on my radar though. biggrin

Poor WB, even when they succeed they screw things up for themselves.
Joker's success will have an impact of the other stuff going on. biggrin
