On BBC2 tonight, will it be a Spitting Image, or a 2DTV, will it be a Yes, Prime Minister or a 2012.

Similar shows in the past, 11 O'clock show?

Thought it was a bit weak, some genuine laughs in there, but they were spread. Best bit was the Tory, the host is weak, as are the 'serious' reporter and two news readers, the correspondent with different wigs was good.

On the "forced" observation:
I think they were trying to present in the style of "this is a spoof, you know it, we know it and we're showing we know you know we know it". That's very hard to carry off. Should have played it perfectly straight a la Chris Morris.

The best bit for me was the Tory, and this was because the main guy seemed to genuinely not know what the other guy was going to say. I would say it was acting, but from looking at the rest of the show he's not that good.

Watched my second (the latest) ep, it's better, weakest link is still the reporter at large.

It lacks sharpness, and is too doughy, and probably too preachy, but it's passable, not risible.

11 o'clock show was sharper.

And it's not even in the dust of something like HIGNFY
