Right, I've heard a few reasons why spoiler Game of Thrones threads get closed, and I'm pretty sure I haven't breached any of them...

Let's see if we can ensure the Spoiler Free thread remains that way, bringing harmony and (a tower of) joy for all.

Seeing as HBO Spain (or whoever) has fked up yet again, watched ep6 last night.

Crikey. Possibly the busiest and most intriguing episode to date.

Couldn't quite get my head around the timings - Gendry could run all the way to the Wall? A raven could fly a thousand miles to Dragonstone, and dragons can fly the same distance - all in a single night? Battle was very reminiscent of Age of Ultron...

Most interesting bit for me was the Winterfell scenes - little justification for Sansa reverting to whiney kid and seeking advice from LF. Keeps the suspense between the Stark girls though I suppose. Arya is a fking psychopath!

Oh, and once again the Hound steals the show.

Never mind all that, the burning(?) question is: what do blue-eyed dragons fire from their pipes?

Snowballs?
hehe

Also is it going to be a slowly rotting Wight, or a badass mystical WW?

Seems pretty likely that Ep8 will see a dragon vs dragon battle and Dany losing at least one more?

I guess the 'best' way to end this season would be with all dragons dead - thereby levelling the playing field between the Targs and Lannisters - but the forging of a significant alliance of those opposed to the Lannisters.

However - and I have no idea what it will be - Cersei will surely leave this season with another significant scalp/advantage to fuel her own fire?
Yeah I agree with that mostly, except i think Dany will still have Drogon left at the end of the season and the white walker dragon will still be alive too.

Maybe Jon will end up riding Drogon with the flaming sword to kill it next season! biggrin
Can't see that myself. There's an entire season to go, and at least three armies to get through (including the dead). They're not going to shoot their load too soon, I'd guess that Viserion is going to bring down the Wall. That'd be a good setup for next season.

Three heads of the Dragon seems to have been knocked, but I'm still hopeful for Jon to get on one (and Dany) and them two to kick arse whilst the Dothraki, Unsullied and Westerosi knights are fully engaged with the wights.

The small group infront of the main group = recce party

i would say it was a trap, the area was set up for a trap. the white walker king is very statically savvy, and the fact he never speaks means it is hard to know his strategy. the way things are going i think he could come out on top. the next thing is the wall to fall, which as dragons are a source of magic power might happen now.
Not sure it was - think of the bonfire...

I think they were tracking Benjen, who's fire it was. Also makes it a bit cleaner about why he turned up at just the right moment.

Perhaps a trap for Benjen, sprung by the Avengers/A Team.

The dragon thing, although well done, was extremely predictable plot-wise as otherwise the two "sides" (breathing and not!) were far too unequal. Dany could have rinsed the entire undead army including the NK with three dragons, this does level things a bit more.
I called it on the non spoiler thread after watching ep5.

We've still not seen a WW dealing with any fire other than fairly low level burning ground...

Also wtf on aiming for viserion flying around - the guy's got javelin throwing capabilities that are obscene, yet he goes for the smallest flying dragon and ignores the closer, big bad dragon on the ground with virtually all of his enemies trying to get on his back...

So is there 'Mod magic' which can lift all the posts in this thread into the main thread at 9pm on Monday?
I think that when threads have been merged the posts retain their timestamp, which would be very odd reading!

However, I'm sure more leaks will occur, happy for this thread to become dormant until then.

They seem leakier than the titanic, can't remember another show that's had so many problems.

Even saw some apparent spoilers for ep1 of the next season!

The thing is he saw it happen so going back in time to solve the issue is shear stupidity. The holdor he knew nothing about. He must have learnt from that.

I'm still believing the "burn them all" is his fault theory as well.

At this point he still has to place everything and he's having a hard time controlling his new found powers. I thought the "you looked nice that night" scene showed that, he could place the marriage but maybe not the rape that happened the same evening?

Bran the Builder, The Three Eyed Raven, Bran and the Night King are one and the same imho.
I'd be really, really disappointed if this is the case.

Effectively, no real story, merely a weird godlike time traveller (who's actually a bit st) causing pretty much everything of note, mostly by accident.

The Hodor reveal was inspired, but from now anything more than intel or warging into a dragon/direwolf/animal army from Bran would be jumping the shark.

It was believable when I thought Westeros was the size of the UK, but having learnt it's supposedly the size of South America it becomes a bit farcical.

Based on numbers I've seen (1500 miles from Eastwatch to Dragonstone) they had to be stuck on that island for 2-3 days to make the numbers work.
Yet another scenario this season that could have been handled in a far easier way that made sense...

With a fair wind, Jon would have been travelling for about a week to get to Eastwatch. Day or two then sallying forth across the wall. Couple of days heading north before hitting trouble.

Meanwhile, Dany starts worrying that if what Jon has said is true, then they're heading for World of st. Decides she can't sit idly by waiting for news, so jumps on Drogon and they head north, arriving Just In Time.

Slight tweak of a couple of the scenes with Tyrion, Gendry could have remained with the group instead of channelling his inner Mo Farah, no audience sitting there thinking "what the juddering fk?".

Plausible indeed, until you consider that assuming the NK's aims are:

Get ice dragon
Destroy human enemies
Chill

Then he could have significantly furthered those aims by not aiming at the zooming around Viserion, but instead at the closer, stationary Drogon. He'd have gained a bigger and tougher ice dragon, and all his main enemies would have been stuck on the ground. Pile in zombie dudes and they're all fked - Thoros or no. Neither of the other dragons would have been able to do much without harming the people they would be trying to save...

Head straight to chill.
