And so it begins...

So far it seems to be the same as the BBC version with a few new faces and adverts.

Though Noel is utterly crap at the voiceover. He sounds so held back, it is really weird. confused

Yes, it is very odd. No enthusiasm at all. Toksvig is much better.

I like it so far, very similar obviously and just a few different people. I quite like all of them so far.

The format has been lifted and shifted with no real issues. Am not sold on Fielding yet but the others are fine.

I like Noel as a comedian, he is really irreverent and whimsical. But this isn't coming through. Perhaps need to give it time...

Not sure who I dislike the most - Prue, Toksvig or Fielding.

I feel like the camera is jumping around a bit too much. The old series Mel and sue would spend a bit of time chatting away with people.

Julia is lovely. Even if it's rubbish I'll keep watching just for her

I think the early programmes are always a bit messy and unfocussed, purely due to having 12 contestants, never mind the new presenters. Having said that, the new duo do seem a bit side-lined.

The show stoppers are a step above the BBC ones.

I quite like them all! I think the foursome is pretty good this year against all odds!

Noel Fielding lapsed a couple of times into his 12-year old schoolboy persona, but not as often as I feared. I enjoyed it and it's made me huingry.

He's a bit superfluous isn't he? Other than that, as entertaining as ever. Have to delay the start though so I can skip the irritating adverts.

This year they have actually picked the best bakers from the auditions rather than the BBC method of ticking the various ethical boxes first and baking ability second. Easily the best standard I've seen in the first show.
