Watching it now.
that boxer's a unit, he needs an opponent in the spring if anyone is up for it.

On his fb page he says he's on meds for an inherited ailment

OK, watched it all now, he was caught out on the PEDs, extremely naive/moronic to think they would not be discovered and his excuses for not revealing them lame. Then classic countermeasures to one compatriot bring steds into the fore, yet leaving out the crucial info of the contraband PEDs, then more backpeddling on how SAS are compact men, not PED induced monsters like himself.
He took apart that 19 year old lad though.
A unit maybe but if I looked like that after peds I’d want a full refund.that boxer's a unit, he needs an opponent in the spring if anyone is up for it.

Is it just me or are the blokes with the biggest muscles the most mentally unstable/insecure?
They also seem to have absolutely no stamina.
I only saw this last night so I'm catching up.They also seem to have absolutely no stamina.
It's only a theory of mine, but to me there is 'fit' and there's 'gym fit' / 'nightclub fit'. I'm actually neither, but I ride mountain bikes a lot, we've had people new to the sport come for a day out with us, 5%-10% body fat, biceps like tree trucks, and 'abs' and really, really struggle - which isn't unusual for new riders, it's not a sport it's much of a benefit to be very good at another - except perhaps football oddly, but more than that they don't seem to be able to adapt quickly to the terrain.
Unlike road biking, you need to constantly switch between cruising and bursts of energy, and it's the bursts the 'gym fit' guys struggle with, I've read it's a lack of 'fast twitch' muscles - you can lift the weights in the gym doing regulars sets of reps and then grind out a couple of miles on the treadmill / cross-trainer but I think mentally and physically when it comes to lugging heavy rucksacks up a mountain it's a lot more irregular and I think that might be what catches them out. I know a lot of gym guys are into Cross-Fit now which is more irregular, but I don't think it's close to a 'real sport'.
'NIghtclub fit' is worse than Gym fit, I see a lot of lads in my Gym,doing pullups on the machines, lifting big weights (and dropping them) and they all wear the same uniform, vest top, pair of trackies and non-sports trainers because they've never been near a cardio machine and have legs like pipe cleaners - but I didn't see anyone on the show like that.

Enjoyed this episode. Some good characters and great scenery and tasks.
Int he earlier series I didn't like Billy much. But since following him on Insta I have really grown to like him, seems like a really decent guy behind the gruff persona on TV. When the woman was crying and moaning and he said "Are you having a baby? ..No well shut the fk up then"

I think it’s gone too soft. In the first serious they basically screamed at them to get onto the parade square, this year is much softer.
In the first few series when they handed their arm band in they were basically told to fk off, only the winners got any sort of compliment, this time there seems to be nice words for everyone for taking part. Even the music has got softer with piano scores...
Was just saying this to my wife - agree. Pussification has reached SAS Who Dares Wins. More like the bloody x-factor with all this crying nonsense. In the first few series when they handed their arm band in they were basically told to fk off, only the winners got any sort of compliment, this time there seems to be nice words for everyone for taking part. Even the music has got softer with piano scores...

Quiet in here.
I fking love this show. So wish I had the balls to enter it myself.
Billy needs to write a book. The world according to Billy. "Good idea eh....I'm fking full of them "
I apply for the show about 3 yrs ago, sent my cv off not expecting back, well they did and wanted me to attend a interview and fitness test, unfortunately I fking love this show. So wish I had the balls to enter it myself.

couldn't do the dates due to work commitments, I think the fitness test was a bit of running, 100 press ups and something like 20 pull ups, so nothing too crazy.

He was totally goosed climbing that mountain path, then struggled to do one decent press up.
I was just about to say, I spoke too soon! I'm 40 mins into it and just witnessed some...'press-ups'...that honestly, I'd do if I thought I could get away with it. But in a nrmal gym time would be a fifth of normal movement. Yeah he really strggled with the pond bit, but jeez just seeing them all strip off just, looks brutal...it is something I'd like to do though. He's too big and clearly carrying too much artificla mass. THe fireguy doesn't seem so nulky. But clearly he's been busy on his 6 months off.Scabutz said:
