Incorrect number plates in TV and Film
Discussion
Do you know what really grinds my gears....?
When I'm watching TV or film, I can't help but take notice of number plates that are impossible or invalid for the car depicted. I can see the reasons why they do it, but it annoys me just the same.
Thought it could be interesting to see if any other anoraks have noticed this in TV or Film...
Take line of duty for example.
Number plates at least a few years too new on this range rover, and Q and I aren't allowed in the last 3.
And 5 minutes later a 2001 or older X5 is donning a 2016 plate and again has Q in the last 3.
Arguably they're criminal's cars so might have false plates...but generally wouldn't choose ones without tax or insurance ...
I'll grab my anorak on the way out.

I am currently watching Blue Lights on BBC.
I spotted it straight away and then it twigged I saw it in the news too:

Throughout regardless of what car they are driving, the interior shots are always in a Skoda. An A3 hatch becomes an Octavia estate, Insigina VXR estate becomes the same Octavia estate. The steering wheel badge is clearly on show.
In one driving scene the Octavia steering wheel is perfectly upside down the whole time too.
Non car people might not spot this but why so lazy??? Seems like absolute basics of continuity/ tv production.
Also just started watching Rabbit Hole on Paramount (amazing so far!). Did annoy me when I spotted the speedo at 0mph during an interior shot whilst in motion.

I caught a couple of minutes of this last night, where a Range Rover bearing "DR 007" plates was in a workshop. I haven't watched the rest of it, nor read the Daily Mail article so not sure if this is what it said.
No just every interior shot throughout the series is set in a Skoda Octavia , so exterior shots are showing Peugeots, Vauxhalls, Audis, then as soon as it hits the interior they’re back in a Skoda. Really lazy as they could just angle it away from the steering wheel so you couldn’t tell. Currently struggling my way through “The couple next door” on Ch4.
Cars aside it’s set in Leeds, as you can see:
(Ok some is in the UK , but most in Belgium and Netherlands, purporting to be the UK.
Anyway, a lovely 19 plate MG ZT taxi spotted, and the jeep in the picture sports a UK and a European plate depending on where they filmed. Guessing two cars but both RHD.
Properly crap continuity on the latter part.
