Electric, getting a True Detective vibe.

Yep. Quite enjoyed it. Suspenseful and tense. I know nothing about the source material/the book, so am hoping as the story unfolds they maintain the standards set in the first two episodes.
All I know is what the sky blurb said, by Stephen KIng...so I am as unaware as you. I am enjoying knowing absolutely nothing for a change (like the TD/Fargo stuff).

It's S. King, so he write fantasy and reality...I'm really enjoying it thus far.
Bateman and the guy from Captain MArvel/Rogue 1, very good.

Also enjoying it so far. Any theories? Long lost twin? He actually did it and just had a really fast car to get about in? Deep fake?
MY first guess was a twin, a psychotic one, like in the SImpsons. He didn't visit his dad but his brother.

We've got creepy hoody character and a girl continuously rattled by some presence. Being King, supernatural is always likely but I'm enjoying the reveal. If I wasn't enjoying the show I'd just google it.
Same, this is the first programme in a long time where I am enjoying being totally in the dark and trying to work it out.
I have the fantasy aspect in the back of my head, but King's best stuff is the real life stuff (Stand By Me, Shawshank) so I can't rule out that. I think the lil speech by the prosecutor was a red herring.

I have to say my interest has dipped a lil. Yes I'm still into it and like Marty my interest when hocus-pocus comes in can drop, but the way the outsider chatted to the wife...creepy.
I suppose it's how real it's done is. SO far, it's not omnipotent stuff, it's still fairly realistic and organic.

It's certainly creepy.
It's got me hooked with it realism, and now it's swerved me....I hope they play it deftly to keep the suspension.

Quite enjoyed the latest ep, it was different. Baddie sort of admitting what he was about, the cops being actually super intuitive and get on it immediately. ANd the wife saying the cop needs to either help or get out of the way. I found those elements really novel.

I suppose the thing is changing....but the new target, is he being affected telepathically?

very good ep, and they did it again, just ignored how these stories normally go, completely rewrote it. Bit mercenary to just wait for a child murder, but what can ya do!?

THe last five minutes were really tense. The shot was shocking. Felt sorry for the 'copper in the mouth' guy.

It's not. But it starts straight from action, it'll be 40-50 mins of decent stuff.
