Just finished watching another one of Steven Seagal's utterly, utterly st films and it got me wondering... had there ever been a worse headline action 'star'?

Hulk Hogan, now there's someone who shouldn't have crossed over into films (along with John Cena)
I'll agree with HH (Thunder in Paradise is still floating around in my memory like a bad smell, execrable film), Cena on the other hand was quite enjoyable in Blockers (I too enjoy bad films!)

?Cynthia Rothrock?
now there's a good shout - the only reason I didn't nominate her was (IMO) she was never a 'big' star, that's to say she was always straight to video

Soon as I saw the thread title I thought of Seagal.
Though Nicholas Cage isn't much better, then theres Dolph Lundgren and Van Damme...
In fairness NC has actually won an oscar, you could make an argument for him to be best to worst though! hehe

Arnold Schwarzenegger & Sylvester Stallone.... yes

Heres 2...action star is debateble but theyve had action roles which haven't gone very well....

Kevin Costner...waterworld

Patrick Swayze...roadhouse

both utterly terrible but for some unknwon reason thats a good thing
Roadhouse is excellent

I just think it is well suited to film, looks effortless and realistic unlike these ridiculous kicks etc you get from other action stars. Guess the public must have liked it as [Seagal was massive for a short period!!
now he's just massive, period hehe
