YouTube Premium
Discussion
Hi
Not sure if TV is the correct section or Computers/gadgets so mods please move where appropriate.
Does anybody here use YouTube premium? I spend quite a lot of time streaming music or watching videos on there and their frequency of adverts has pushed me to breaking point. Which I guess it is designed to do.
Interested in experiences etc... I would need more than one account, so I guess I’d be looking at the family account?
Thanks

Thanks for replies.
The content creator argument, well, if you’re not buying anything you are indeed the product being sold.
I’m actually more interested in using it for music more than anything else the problem I found with Spotify etc... mostly because any and every type of music is available on YT but also because on Spotify you spend ages curating a playlist only for that list to randomly disappear as the songs are taken down from the service. If add free YouTube means that I can enjoy the platform and songs, then that’s perfect.

At the risk of a slight thread derail, what are you lot all actually watching no YouTube to justify your spend?
I watch loads of stuff on Netflix & Prime, but YouTube is just the occasional video on how to carry out a particular element of bike maintenance or similar for me. Am I missing something big?

Also the people who watch it more than Netflix or Prime? What are you watching? I probably spend less than 20 minutes a month on there!

You can get YT premium really cheaply if you use a VPN whilst setting up your account
https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/youtube-premium-p...
Which works out at £1.13 a month.
I used a previous deal (and had to use a chinese address) and it costs me £1.33 a month.
That's a bargain!!!https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/youtube-premium-p...

I guess now being a member of the Chinese People's Liberation Army 1st South Cumbrian Reserves could provide some interesting life experiences too!
I’m the op on this thread
Well, my premium has just expired. In the end I paid €22 per month, which Even though it’s my main media, I’m beginning to not like paying. I know the VPN trick with India and I might give that a try. Question: what other media services should I / could I look at?
Im in Austria and would love to have:
UK TV& and all sports channels
Netflix
YouTube (for music, because you get everything and it’s ad free)
I know I can’t pay one provider for all (but seriously would if I could!) but what is the cheapest way to get all this? Am I looking at VPN’ing YouTube and paying for an IP service? What IPservices are good these days??
