Morning all, I am really missing new editions to the Petrolicious ‘Made to Drive’ series.

For those who don’t know these are beautifully shot short video clips, typically about nice cars in long term ownership, where the owner talks about the car and his or her life with it. I can’t really explain why but I find them really appealing.

I don’t know if the new management have decided to abandon it or if Covid is making them difficult to produce, but is anybody aware of an alternative I can trawl through the archives from one lazy Sunday afternoon?

Thanks

Those videos seem to have stopped after the founder made some controversial comments regarding BLM - it has since been sold I believe - not sure if those videos will restart - https://www.carscoops.com/2020/08/petrolicious-sol...

Like you, I loved that series so went looking for similar. Two I've found that do something along those lines are Praemio and Tokyo Tuner. Not quite the same quality or volume of content, but still pretty good.

Interested to hear if anyone has found any others like this.
Yeah it has been sold. They are making more videos, just not the 'Made to Drive' series. Am subscribed to Praemio and will try Tokyo Tuner. Thanks.

I really am gutted - their videos still pop into my you tube feed but I don’t even bother watching them now, the other formats just don’t do it for me

There are a few smaller channels out there with Petrolicious-style videos, although new content on all of them has been pretty sparse of late. Take a look at Car Tales, eGarage and Patina for a start.
Already subscribed to Car Tales and eGarage but have just added Patina - thanks
